ASM PACIFIC<0522> - Parallel Trading

Market participants are requested to note that the parallel trading in the 
ordinary shares of ASM Pacific Technology Limited ("ASM Pacific") will 
cease after the close of business on Friday, 21/7/2000.  As from the close 
of business on that day, the counter for trading in the shares (stock 
code: 2907) of ASM Pacific as represented by old share certificates will 
be withdrawn and trading in the shares of ASM Pacific will only be under 
the following arrangements:-
